At MDT, we help both adults and young patients. In the framework of our cooperation with the Children’s Hospital in Brno, we dealt with a case of a sixteen-year-old girl, who suffered from unclear heart troubles during irregular sports performances.
She was recently overwhelmed by a strong paroxysm, which lasted almost two hours, when she was taken to the emergency room, where her condition calmed down. It was not possible to determine the cause in the given situation and so she used an episodic recorder at home, which she borrowed from us. Thanks to the device several episodes with sustained supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) with HR max. 230/min were recorded.
